On Saturday morning, I headed first to the Bastille area to see the monument honouring the French revolution. I've been to Paris now 5 times and each time I always plan to take it slow and see maybe one new site a day. Paris is a place you don't want to rush. It's also the love of my life, so you don't want to rush it.
From there, I walked over to the Place des Vosges, where Victor Hugo penned Les Mis! The square was really pretty - great green space in the middle and palaces all around the park.
I then went to the old Jewish quarter and the Holocaust Memorial, which was really good. Small - I think it deserves more space and more English signs, but still very well done.
After lunch, I wandered to the Jardin des Tuileries and did a hop on-hop off bus tour for the first time in Paris, which was definitely worth it because you got really good shots of all the major sites.
Louvre
Seine river
Notre Dame
Obelisque
Arc du Triomphe
Eiffel Tower
Area right next to the Eiffel, which was also showing the French Open final
Napoleon's tomb and the Military museum
D-Day celebration flags (just missed Obama)
